There are often times that a cherished tree on your property needs to be removed for a whole host of reasons. It may be too closes to your home, it may be in the way of a new addition you are adding to your home or It may be damaged by a storm. Sometimes these trees can have a whole new life by having the log milled into lumber for projects at your home; possibly an arbor, pergola or a specialty designed piece of furniture. Some ruff sawed slabs make great bar tops, sofa tables, or even an island counter top. The list of possibilities goes on and on.

Although I have been an arborist for 30 years, I went to college for carpentry and furniture building. A few years after collage, I found my way back to the family tree company. However, I still have a passion for woodworking. In the winter we turn our focus and our shop to woodworking. Perhaps we can give your tree a second chance at life. Below are pictures of some projects that we have done for clients over the years. I’ve always loved making better use of these logs instead of just letting them go up in smoke as fire wood. How cool would it be to have a something made from a tree harvested from your yard!
