ece375_62e65fbb7821447fa6444bffe320a804 While Woodbridge Estate Care was officially founded in 1999, our history goes back nearly another 25 years to 1976 when Richard Lewis Jr. and Ray Pantalone founded Woodbridge Tree Service. Woodbridge Tree Service quickly earned a reputation for top quality service that continued for the next Twenty-five years.

In 1996, Richard’s son Richard H. Lewis III convinced both his father and Ray to let him add a new element to Woodbridge Tree Service. This new facet of the company became known as the Estate Care Program and was managed exclusively by Richard H. Lewis III. Like his father before him, Richard III quickly earned a reputation for high end service and customer satisfaction and the Estate Care division of Woodbridge Tree grew in leaps and bounds.

In 1999, Richard Jr., ready to begin the retirement process, sold his interest in Woodbridge Tree Service to his son and the company Woodbridge Estate Care was born while Ray Pantalone continued on with his own company under his own name.

From 1999 to 2008, both Woodbridge Estate Care, operating with the very same dedication to quality service, and Ray Pantalone conducted business throughout the greater New Haven area with good will towards each other. In 2008, Woodbridge Estate Care and Ray Pantalone were pleased to announce the purchase of Ray Pantalone’s tree care portion of his business effectively reuniting Woodbridge Tree Service under the Woodbridge Estate Care name!

In December 2022, Woodbridge Estate Care was acquired by The Davey Tree Expert Company. Woodbridge clients will continue to work with the same team they’ve come to know, who will now all have access to Davey’s leading diagnostic laboratory, the Davey Institute, which will help provide science-based care and research for our clients’ needs.
